21st century learning requires students to move beyond competency to understanding core academic content and literacies at much higher levels. Students will need to access more than their core subjects and use their knowledge and skills by thinking critically, applying knowledge to new situations, analyzing information, comprehending new ideas, communicating, collaborating, solving problems, and making decisions.
The SEED 21st CL organization reaches out to members of our community who believe in achieving the highest level of education and opportunity for our students; and are willing to donate funds to support the cause. The Endowment Fund underwrites grants within the District to further academic excellence and innovation. Some grants may be one time project investments, while others may initiate strategic, multi-year initiatives targeted by the organization Trustees, the Dover School District Administration, and Dover School Board.
The SEED 21st CL organization does not replace any existing funding responsibilities of the Dover School District. The District continues to financially support the traditional operational budget of the school district, including regular salaries for services within the school district; although stipend funds related to innovative initiatives may be awarded as part of the grant, if deemed appropriate.
The Seacoast Educational Endowment for Dover 21st Century Learning is a 501c (3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.
