Strafford County Extreme Cold Weather Emergency Shelter Announcement

The Strafford County Commissioners announce activation of the Strafford County Extreme Cold Weather Emergency Shelter due to forecasted extreme temperatures that threaten life safety. The Shelter will open on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 3pm and close on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at 10am.
 
Shelter Access: The COAST bus Route 33/County Complex runs daily to the shelter, which is housed in the Annex at 276 County Farm Road. The nearest bus stop is County Farm Cross/County Farm Road.. The Shelter shares a building with Southeastern NH Services and a parking lot with the Strafford County Jail. Cities, towns, and social service agencies are encouraged to coordinate and/or support transportation for their residents and clients. Limited alternative transportation may be available upon request to the Shelter main phone at 857-323-0388.
